Construction

Each project will vary depending on the complexity and size of each individual project. It is always best to ask your estimator for an approximate time frame. CIS will give you time frames based on previous experiences; however your specific time frame may vary from the projected time frame.

With us, every product comes with two warranties:

1) Installation Warranty: if there are any mistakes or damages caused to the product during installation, CIS provides a one-year timeframe since the final date of installation to request a warranty claim. CIS ensures our crews are trained to install our products to last you as long as possible. If we made a mistakes, we will gladly revisit the worksite to restore your product.

2) Product Warranty: CIS only works with high quality suppliers dedicated to long-lasting products. These suppliers provide a variety of warranties for their products. To find out more details about your specific product, please contact your estimator.

In order to claim any warranties, CIS requests that the client send in photos and description of the issue to any representative of their liking.

Please do NOT attempt to fix any defects on your own as that will waive all warranties.

Before our crews step foot into your property, CIS will obtain all permits from your local municipality as specified by your work order.

After the product is installed, CIS contacts your municipality to request an inspection for the installation. These inspectors are specifically trained to look out for any deviation of the building code and possible safety risks that could arise.

CIS will never consider a project installation completed until all municipality inspections are approved and sends confirmation of the results to the client.

Estimates

No. While it is not required, we do recommend you have someone present to ensure the accuracy of your project.

We will only need safe access to the work location and an email/phone number to provide an estimate.

A property survey provides a clue to CIS and your respective municipality where your property borders lay physically on the ground. With this survey, we can ensure to keep your requested project from encroaching outside your property. CIS also uses your survey to mock up the location of the project installation within your property to ensure proper installation once our installation crew steps foot in your backyard.

Surveys are typically provided to you with the closing documents of your property at the point of sale. CIS recommends you provide us with a survey no more than 5 years old to ensure your survey reflects your space as accurately as possible. If you can not locate your survey or find it to be outdated, CIS can assist you in acquiring a new property survey.

Since surveys can be produced by many different companies, they can look slightly different from each other but they typically look like the example below.

If you happen to have your project dimensions and specifications, our team can provide an estimate based on your details. We will need the details sent in writting by email or through our contact form.

This quote will be treated as a rough estimate for your reference. If you like the estimate provided, CIS will send out a team member to the work site to verify the details provided in order to ensure there are no mistakes during the production phase of the project.

Yes we do! If you happen to have a quote from another construction company, our team will try to match or beat their price if possible during the estimation phase.

In order to receive this service, we will need to receive a copy of the quote you will like us to match. This quote must be no more than 1 month old and be comparable is product type and dimension.

Please contact your estimator directly regarding this request.

You can always request an estimate by either contacting our office or using the contact form on our "Contact" page. Our office contact information is also posted on our "Contact" page.

Once the request is made, a team member will schedule an appointment with an estimator to meet with you.

Permitting

During the estimation phase of the project, CIS will give you the option to have us acquire the permit for you. You are also able to do this process yourself if you feel more comfortable and the municipality accepts owner-builder applications (Most do).

If you accept our help in the permit process, our team will draft all required permits for your project and acquire an approved building permit for you.

We are registered in many different municipalities in our service areas and know the procedure well. CIS is determined to reduce the stress that comes with working with building departments and providing total accuracy to the building plans.

The likely answer is "Yes." The grand majority of our products and services are legally required to pass an approval process with your local municipalities.

We know this can extend the length of a given project but CIS is fully compliant with the Florida Building Code and is commited to product excellence and customer safety.

If you have further questions regarding the permit requirements, please contact your estimator or our office.

While difficult to accuratedly calculate, most permits take around a month to month and a half. Each municipality has their own procedure and they vary widely in requirements.

CIS has a dedicated, in-house team dedicated to monitoring your permit application process. When we see any updates, we notify you and take action if necessary.

Time ranges will vary but with our quick responses, we help make the process as fast as can be!
