Terms & Conditions
•CIS will use materials that meet or exceed the current Florida Building Code (FBC) and product approvals.
•Prices are guaranteed for fifteen (15) days from the estimate date.
•CIS maintains the right to use subcontractors at their own discretion.
•Final modifications of the work scope due to unforeseen obstructions, such as private utilities or changes in the current building
code, will be notified to the customer and pricing will be adjusted accordingly. Modifications requested by the customer may not be
acceptable for certain products. If a product is eligible for modification, the customer acknowledges and agrees to assume
responsibility for any losses or deposits incurred from the original workscope, as well as the costs of any expenses arising from the
new modifications.
•Due to the nature of this job task, some damage may occur to the existing landscape. CIS will perform the job task with great care
and attention to the preservation of the flora and the property but will NOT be held liable for any damage that
may occur. This includes ingress and egress from the front or backyard.
•CIS will call Sunshine811 to have all public utilities that may be within the property bounds located and marked.
•It is the customer’s responsibility to collect balances owed by third parties sharing the cost of the contract, if any.
•All debris, garbage, furniture, toys, vehicles, storage bins, plants, and other items which interfere with the installation of the product
must be removed from the area. Any damage done to property left in the way of construction will be the customer’s responsibility.
•Customer is responsible for marking the location of private underground utilities. If left unmarked, repairs or relocations of private
utilities are the responsibility of the customer.
•Removal or relocation of trees, shrubs, plants, and all vegetation are the CUSTOMER’S RESPONSIBILITY. Flora and all greenery
are to be trimmed back AT LEAST 18 inches to allow workers mobility prior to commencement of work.
•Customer shall be notified in advance of work commencement and safety precautions shall be taken by customer or association to
restrict access anywhere near the work areas during installation and work performance.
•Customer shall stay clear from any active construction site or ongoing activities during the duration of the installation.
•It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure survey or site plans are true and correct and represents the location of the product
installation. CIS STRONGLY recommends an accurate survey of the property not older than one (1) year since site surveying process.
If the fence line is not accurate due to an invalid survey, the customer will bear all responsibilities. No exceptions.
•It is the customer’s responsibility to be knowledgeable and familiar with their own ordinances. If contract is cancelled because the
customer’s municipality or homeowner’s association will not allow what was contracted for it is NOT the responsibility of CIS.
•CIS is licensed and insured as required by law and shall provide paper copies upon customer requests.
•The job will be placed on schedule after all necessary permits, association approvals, and payments are received.
•Duration of the project will depend on the complexity of the project and CIS is NOT responsible for the timeframe or delays of any
other projects the customer may have pending. Projects are built and scheduled on a first come-first served basis, weather and
material procurement permitting.
•CIS cannot be held responsible for vendor delays due to delivery logistics or shortages.
•IN THE EVENT OF A HURRICANE, PLEASE ALLOW TIME BASED ON THE CURRENT DEMAND.
•Payment breakdowns will be described on the contract document. CIS retains the right to collect a balance due upon the payment
condition is fulfilled for the customer as described in the contract. If customer fails to deliver full payment of a deposit within 30 days of
notification, CIS retains the right to consider the project and all related work to be adandoned by client and nullify the contract.
•Customer will be responsible for TRIP CHARGE of $500.00 if the installation process is interrupted by customer negligence or
disturbance. This includes but not limited to landscaping issues or disturbances by neighbors.
•Failure to pay as specified on the contract will result on the customer paying for late charges, attorney fees, lean and cost of
collections if any. CIS retains the right to charge interest on any unpaid invoices at a prevailing legal rate of 1.5% monthly;
18% annually.
•All materials are property of CIS until job is paid for in full.
•In the event of attorney fees, the customer will assume CIS costs.
•All cancellations must be submitted in writing. If customer cancels contract, CIS will retain all payments. No exceptions.
•Customer and CIS are BOTH allowed to cancel the contract within five (5) business days without penalties. Contract is not valid
until approved by office and the grace period is complete.
•CIS will provide a $100.00 discount applicable to the final payment of the project if the customer contacts CIS in reference to this
clause before the grace period is complete.
•CIS will file for necessary building permits upon customer’s request. Customer must sign and return all permit applications in a
timely manner to CIS.
*Customer agrees to pay any permit related fees to the respective municipalities when notified by CIS.
•If customer declines CIS’s assistance obtaining the proper permits, customer is responsible for obtaining a valid permit from their
respective municipality. If customer fails to obtain a valid building permit, CIS maintains the right to cancel or pause the contract and
all associated work. Any fees resulting from failure of the customer on obtaining a valid building permit will be the responsibility of
the customer and no work will be scheduled until the customer can provide CIS with a valid copy of all permits associated with the
project.
•Association approvals are to be filed by the customer or representative to the respective associations.
•We guarantee all work to be free from defects in labor and materials for one (1) year. Some other guarantees are transferred
directly from the manufacturer regarding specific materials.
•CIS retains the right to take pictures relating to the project for all marketing and research purposes. CIS will take all reasonable
steps to protect the client’s privacy before publishing or distributing any pictures taken.
